Dr Doody is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Leeds. During her PhD, Dr Doody studied under Professor Douglas Fearon, first in Baltimore, USA, then completing her studies at the University of Cambridge, obtaining the final degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She continued her postdoctoral research in immunology at The Babraham 果酱视频 where she worked in the laboratory of Dr Martin Turner. Dr Doody has worked with her husband and scientific partner Professor Reuben Tooze since moving to the University of Leeds in 2020.
Dr Doody鈥檚 laboratory is focussed on the regulation of terminal B cell differentiation. Her research uses primary cell culture systems to model this process and to investigate the dynamic regulatory circuits that drive plasma cell differentiation and survival. She is interested in how these circuits adjust in response to disease-associated genetic and environmental changes, and how these might be exploited for therapy.
